Understand the basic structure of Kifuliiru verbs and how to extract roots

Theory

Kifuliiru verbs have an infinitive form starting with "Uku-" or "Ku-" prefix. The root is extracted by removing this prefix and the final "-a". Verbs conjugate by combining subject prefixes, tense markers, and the verb root.

Formula:

Infinitive: Uku-[root]-a → Root: [root]

Key Rules:

Infinitive verbs start with Uku- or Ku- prefix
Remove prefix and final -a to get the root
Conjugated form: [Subject Prefix] + [Tense Marker] + [Root] + [Ending]
Subject prefixes change based on person (I, you, he/she, we, you all, they)

Examples:

kulyato eat

ku + ly + a

Remove ku- and -a
